January 2025 Service Project Introduction and Name Tags!
For the CFA Guild's 2025 community-oriented project, we will focus on knitting and crocheting hats for oncology departments in our area. Our goal is for each member who is willing to produce at least one hat during the year, though more hats are of course welcome. We will donate the oncology departments that would like to receive them to be given to the patients so that they can stay warm during treatments.
During the January meeting, Hollis Houston and Rebecca Heid (with the help of her mother, Melanie Miller) will introduce beginner patterns for knitted and crocheted hats and guide beginners through the first steps. If you are an experienced knitter/crocheter, we encourage you to bring your favorite hat pattern to share with other experienced participants, and you can work on getting your first hat started!
Date: January 25 Time: 10:30 a.m. *Arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in and get settled.* Cost: Members $10 Nonmembers: $15 Name tags only $5 RSVP Please! *Please RSVP if you plan to attend, whether you would like to do the crochet or knitting project.

Community Project
The Chattanooga Fiber Arts Guild is thrilled to announce our 2025 community-oriented project: creating handmade hats for oncology patients in our area. This heartfelt initiative is an opportunity to use our talents to bring warmth and comfort to those undergoing treatment.
We invite all members—and anyone who loves fiber arts—to join us in this meaningful effort. Our goal is simple yet powerful: for each participant to craft at least one hat during the year, with as many more as your heart desires. Every hat will be donated to local oncology departments, where they will be given to patients to help them stay cozy and cared for during their treatment journey.
Let’s come together as a community of creators to make a difference, one stitch at a time. Your contribution, no matter how small, can touch lives in ways you may never imagine. Join us in spreading warmth, hope, and love through this beautiful project!
