April 2019-Bobbin Lace
March 2019-Kumihimo
Diana created a piece by using a multicolor thread throughout the project that created a beautiful confetti look.
|
This class was informative and enjoyable.
Everyone was amazed at the beautiful results we got and the variety of patterns we could create just by placing our threads in a particular position. Cathy, showed us an amazing design she created by increasing the number of threads she used in her pattern. 10 year old Avery joined us as a guest, and caught on very quickly. He helped us prepare our threads to start our project. |

Drawstring Bags-Barbara Johnson
These bags are made from 17.5 inch squares of felt. They are gift bags which can be embellished with any little emblem you like. You could sew an initial, name or almost anything to make the bag more personal for your purposes.
I have gingerbread men and snowmen that fit on the bags we will make, but they could also be embroidered.
In order to save time in class, I will have red, green and white precut squares. The color selection they have available at Over the River Felt (in Hixson) is amazing.
The edges will already be pinked/ scalloped.
I keep my needle felting kit in one of these bags. I find lots of uses for them and people love to receive them- empty or full😊‼️
I’ll also show how to make them out of other fabrics.
There will be a minimal charge for the materials Kit.
A complete list of supplies and cost will be emailed to members.
